How to Fix iPhone and Mac Not Syncing

Following are some basic solutions to fix iPhone and Mac not a syncing problem.
Option 1: Restart iPhone

In most cases, the syncing process error is due to the network or any other temporary problems. These types of problems can be solved by simply restarting the iPhone.

In case of iPhone 6 to 8/8+, keep pressing the top/side button until the slider appears. Slide the screen to turn off the device. Again, keep pressing the top/side button to start iPhone.

For iPhone X and latest versions, keep pressing the side button and either of the volume button until the turn-off slider appears. Slide the screen to turn off the device. Now keep pressing the side button until the device vibrates. It will be turned on.



Note that you can also turn off the iPhone devices with iOS 11 or above by going to Settings > General > Shutdown.
Option 2: Update iTunes to Latest Version

Before we get started with the solutions to sync iTunes to Mac, make sure to check if you have the latest iTunes version. Sometimes, an older version of iTunes may also hinder the syncing process. Here is how you can update iTunes to the latest version.

MacOS 10.14 Mojave comes with the built-in iTunes utility, so you can simply update the Mac OS version to get the latest iTunes version.

For other users, open the App Store on your Mac, then click Updates at the top of the App Store window. If any iTunes updates are available, click Install to complete the process.
